Helmut Kajzar

KaDeWe was written by Polish director and playwright Helmut Kajzar in the 1970s during his many stays in West Berlin. The performance is a collage of raw scenes from the city as well as images from his imagination and intimate fantasies of lovers, art, the media, the world, etc. The title KaDeWe refers to the biggest department store in Europe of that time and serves as a metaphor for the dark and intriguing sides of the world.
