Fatherland – 27. 2./ 18:00/ Archa
The visual performance Fatherland combines elements of video installation, documentary and theatre. Director Jan Mocek based it on intimate and multi-layered situations: he meets on the stage with this 34 years older father Jan Mocek. The same name and remarkable physical similarity of both men is an impulse to play with the theme of identity, in which the presence of the father transforms into the future of the son. Who will I be in 2052? How will my body and mind change? To what extent is it possible to deviate from inherited patterns of behaviour and traditional life scenarios? Fatherland is an invitation to collective meditation about time, the relationship to our homeland and various possibilities of our own future.
