Selection of the past year’s most consequential performances in the new theatre.

Along with the festival’s consultants and co-curators, Petra Tejnorová and Karolina Plicková, we have chosen for the festival’s programme 33 theatre events that represent in its own right what could be considered as the novelty in the contemporary independent scene. The main key for our selection was a question of whether a performance truly requires an independent spectator and whether it considers the audience to be its integral part. We were interested in different formats of these encounters with audiences and the time periods in which they take place. We believe that this selection presents performing art events that need us.
