Production is based on the unpublished diaries of the exceptional director Petr Lébl (1965-1999), who was one of the most important artistic personalities of the Czech theatre of the 1990s. He was not only a professional director of the Na zábradlí Theatre for seven years, but also an amateur director, where he started in the 1980s.
In addition to bringing a postmodern approach to art to the Czech theatre - and being one of the few who consistently explored it during his short career - he was also a complex, complicated person who still fascinates us today with his passion for theatre and his total commitment to his work. While several books have been written about Lébl (one even during his lifetime) and his working life is richly documented, the starting point for us is his private diary from the last year of his life, which he ended prematurely by suicide. We are thus presented not only with a fascinating filmmaker, but also with a man unhappily in love, often lost, often on the verge of madness, tormented by love and literally blinded by love. For some viewers, the line of theatrical creation will be a strong one, for others the search for their own sexual identity and the reluctance to admit the true nature of love.

The name of Peter Lebel is familiar to the generation of today's forty-somethings (and older), who still experienced his premieres. But we are not only targeting them; our production is a project about passion and love as universal themes, not a "dictionary slogan". Information was the last thing Lébl wanted to convey with his productions...

The main role of the production, which combines spoken word and movement theatre, is played by one of the most outstanding contemporary dancers, Tereza Ondrová. Thanks to her art, Lébl's fate becomes a compelling timeless story.

Tereza Ondrová received a wider nomination for the Thalia Award (2023).
